/Product review: Wrinkle Balm

Attention all bulldogs, frenchies and pugs! I present to you….

I was trolling around the net doing some research on my favourite topic: Pugs (it was purely research, no creepy stalking of particularly pudgy pugs that I adore. I swear it.). That’s when there was a particular link that brought me to The Natural Dog Company’s Wrinkle Balm.

Designed to be an all-natural balm specially formulated to treat and prevent skin fold disease, infection and discomfort, its anti-fungal properties eradicate yeast, bacteria and crusty buildup. These symptoms are commonly known to be more associated with dogs that commonly sport tons of folds. Those like my dear pal Grumpy, as pictured down below:

These dogs, such as pugs, bulldogs and french bulldogs are more at risk for skin fold disease, such as pyoderma, especially those little fat wrinkly boys living in hot and humid weather conditions like Singapore.

Chock full to the brim with vitamins and antioxidants, the balm claims to be able to treat and prevent:

  • Skin fold dermatitis (Especially common amongst dogs like Grumpy, whose face folds would start itching and turn red with irritation)
  • Yeast and bacterial infections (That can start to smell bad)
  • Redness, chaffing, inflammation
  • Crusty buildup (Happens when you don’t wipe down their folds carefully, as mucus and other nasal fluids can get stuck there)
  • Sores, pimples, scabbing
  • Itchy skin, fur-loss
  • Unpleasant odours

The balm current retails on their website store, and does not yet have a physical store. What a pity, for dogs around Singapore would definitely benefit from this wonder product. Hey, it’s just like moisturiser for our chapped lips!

Alternatively, for the fuss-free applicant, the wrinkle balm is available via tube form, as pictured below:

What’s your favourite application method? Personally, I would think Grumpy would bite off the entire stick in one swift chew if we weren’t careful with this stick! I’ll be sticking to the balm for now, thank you.
